Let’s get you hooked with some virtual competition!
Trout fly-fishing season is upon us and the once calm waters of Doornkop’s Dams have turned into a hive of activity as the shoals of trout wake from slumber and splash about furiously on the waters’ surface. With all the excitement we thought we’d kick the season off with a competition to win one midweek getaway to your favourite holiday destination: Doornkop Fish & Wildlife Reserve!
To get involved all you have to do is submit your high-resolution, top quality favourite fishing (and Doornkop holiday) photos to us and we’ll enter your photographic masterpieces into the competition to stand a chance to win! So dig into the archives of your holiday photo collections and submit photos to us of: your family’s best catches, the playful swish of a dry fly in motion, scenic views from the water’s edge, breakfast on your patio, the family enjoying a picnic and any other photos you think will double your chances of reigning supreme in this battle of the best!
Simply email your collections to myholiday@doornkop.co.za or try WeTransfer. Don’t forget: only the best quality images and videos will be considered – so make sure they are top-notch and high-resolution!
The Prize:
One midweek stay in an eight-sleeper chalet at Doornkop Fish & Wildlife Reserve

- Poor quality photographs and videos will be disqualified
Take note:
– Images submitted must be in high-resolution only
– Images submitted must be in megabytes; kilo-byte-sized images will not be accepted
– Images and videos submitted which are pixelated or blurry will not be accepted - Imagery submitted should only reflect fishing and holidays at Doornkop Fish & Wildlife Reserve; no photos of other holidays or at other fishing facilities will be accepted
- By entering this competition, the participant warrants that the submissions do not violate any copyright, nor the rights of any third person
- By entering this competition, the participant agrees to give Doornkop Fish & Wildlife Reserve, as well as all affiliate companies, unrestricted access to make use of the submissions for marketing purposes, even if they are not the winning entries
- This competition will end at midnight on the 30th of June 2021; submissions after this time will not be accepted
- Doornkop Fish & Wildlife Reserve reserves the right to cancel this competition at any time, if deemed necessary
- The judges’ decision is final
- This discount/prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or special and cannot be redeemed for cash
